In the course of this work we&#8217;ve encountered some extremely important activist figures including <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aaron_Swartz\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Swartz,<\/a>. When we consider the future that <strong>Chelsea Manning<\/strong> currently faces in federal custody, we are reminded of the enormous loss of Aaron&#8217;s life in 2013, a direct result of overzealous prosecution for information freedom activism. Please sign the <a href=\"https:\/\/petitions.whitehouse.gov\/petition\/commute-chelsea-mannings-sentence-time-served-1\" target=\"_blank\">White House petition to commute Chelsea Manning&#8217;s sentence to time served<\/a> by December 14, the cutoff date.
