Stacks Explorer is the remote shelf-browsing environment created by librarian Devin Smith. The first edition of Stacks Explorer went live in 2018… but then in 2020 the room was substantially rebuilt, with shelf positions shifting all around, making 1.0 a bit out of date. Now in 20204, coincident with our 20th anniversary, we are overjoyed to offer the beta mode of Stacks Explorer 2.0

This remote access tool allows anyone anywhere on the planet to browse every shelf in the room. Titles that are digitized and downloadable at archive.org are hotlinked. This access tool supports access to even the highest shelves by people of every type of ability, as well as any degree of distance. Thank you, Devin!
