Visit Us!

We welcome all visitors during our open hours without appointments.  Open Hours:

Tuesdays 11 – 5 p.m.
Wednesdays 12:30 – 7 p.m.
Thursdays 2:30 – 7 p.m.
Sunday afternoons 1:30 – 4 p.m.
Thom Blum’s audio installation “You Are Here” runs Sundays 2 – 4.

TO FIND US : Use the intercom near the street entrance at 301 8th Street in San Francisco to reach “Prelinger Assoc” by scrolling left through the arrow keys, then press the CALL button to be buzzed up to the second floor. Please be vaccinated!

Visitors with a specific inquiry in mind are encouraged to send a message to info@prelingerlibrary.org ahead of time, to allow us to pull materials (or advise on the extent to which the Library’s holdings may or may not address that inquiry). Thanks!
