Event: Sunday January 27: Jeremy Ferris, artist in residence

Doors 6 p.m., event 7 p.m.:

Jeremy Ferris will read excerpts from a new comic centering on the cultural landscape of pollution and remediation on the Hudson River. He will also talk about his research residency at the Prelinger Library and earlier work that deals with themes of cultural severance and succession.

Jeremy is an MLIS-degree holding librarian and artist. His January, 2019 Library Residency uses the Library: “… as a site to investigate the tension between hiding and exposing, the mystical properties of place, and privileged knowledge through interactive community documentation events and book arts. The library … will provide valuable sources of both imagery and theory for a book of new drawings and text.”
